Mouvements médiatiques

OpenEduCat enregistre les mouvements de tous les livres du système. Chaque fois qu’une unité médiatique est émise ou retirée, son mouvement est enregistré dans le mouvement médiatique.

Go To Library ‣ All Media-> Media Movements. Click on New to create a new media movement.

Détails du mouvement médiatique

• Media :- Select name of the media for media movement.

• Media Unit :- Select media unit for media movement.

• Media Type :- Select media type for media movement.

• Media Queue Count :- Total media requests for media.

• Invoice :- Penalty invoice reference

• Library Card :- Library Card is the card to which media unit is issued.

• Student/Faculty :- Student/Faculty specify the wheather the media unit is issued to student or faculty.

• Student :- Based on selection in Student/Faculty name of student or faculty appears.

• Issue Date and Due Date :- Issue Date and Return Date are the date during which media unit is issued and is to be returned. By default todays date appears in issue Date field.

• Actual Return Date :- Actual Return Date is the date during which media unit is returned by the holder.

• Penalty :- In case the media unit is returned late penalty is calculated by OpenEduCat based on no. of days late(Actual Return Date - Return Date). The amount of one day is the Penalty Amount Per Day of the library card type.

• Create Invoice :- Shown next to the penalty once a penalty is due. It creates the invoice of the penalty for the person and links it in the Invoice field.

Renew Media

• The Renew Media button is shown while the movement is in the Issued state. Click on it to extend the loan. The due date is pushed by the duration of the library card type, and the renewal is kept in the Renew Details list with its date and the librarian who made it.

Note

A media which is already late cannot be renewed. OpenEduCat computes the penalty first and refuses the renewal as long as the penalty is not paid.

Flux de travail du mouvement des médias

Disponible

• Initialement, lorsqu’un mouvement est créé, il est dans l’état « Disponible ».

Émis

• Cliquez sur le bouton Émettre un média pour émettre une unité multimédia. Il change l’état de « Disponible » à « Émis ».

Revenu

• When the media unit is returned, the state changes from Issued to Returned and the actual return date is filled in.

• If the media is returned after the due date, the penalty is computed from the number of late days and the Penalty Amount Per Day of the library card type. In the example below the media was due on 3 August and returned on 10 August, that is 7 days late, so the penalty is 7.

• The list of the media movements gives the librarian the whole history of the library, with the state and the dates of every issue.
