Progression des étudiants¶
OpenEduCat provides a comprehensive Student Progression framework that enables academic administrators and faculty members to consolidate, track, and evaluate student milestones across all academic, co-curricular, and disciplinary activities. Students and parents can also access these progression records directly through the self-service portal.
Configuration & Creation¶
Creating a Student Progression Record¶
Go to .
Click on New to create a new student progression record.
Details of Student Progression Form:¶
Sequence :- Unique auto-generated identifier for the student progression record (e.g., P0001).
Student :- Select the student for whom the progression record is being created (must be unique per student).
Date :- Date on which the progression record is created (defaults to today).
Created By :- Automatically set to the logged-in administrator or faculty user.
Company :- Associated institute or school branch (in multi-company setups).
Workflow & Status Transitions¶
A progression record follows a structured lifecycle managed via header buttons:
In Progress :- Moves the record from Draft to In Progress state.
Done :- Finalizes the progression record when all milestones are reviewed.
Cancel :- Cancels the progression record.
Reset To Draft :- Re-opens a cancelled or completed record back to Draft for modifications.
Progression Modules Integration¶
The Student Progression form consolidates records from multiple OpenEduCat modules into dedicated tabs:
Activity Tab¶
Administrators and faculty can link student co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to the progression record.
Click on the Get Activity button to launch the activity wizard.
Click on
Add a lineto browse available student activities.
Select the relevant activity and click
Select.
Click
Addto attach the selected activities to the progression record.
Achievement Tab¶
Admin and faculty can record student awards, honors, medals, and certifications to build a comprehensive extracurricular and co-curricular portfolio.
Achievement Types Configuration¶
Go to .
Name :- Name of the achievement category (e.g., Sports, Academic, Cultural, Leadership).
Code :- Unique identifier code for the category (up to 4 characters).
Company :- Assigns the achievement type to a specific branch in multi-company environments.
Excel Import Template :- Administrators can batch import achievement types using the built-in Excel import template under the Favorites / Import records menu.
Managing Achievements¶
Go to .
Student :- Select the student earning the achievement.
Progression No :- Auto-linked to the student’s progression record upon selecting the student.
Faculty :- Faculty member or evaluator awarding and validating the achievement.
Achievement Type :- Category of achievement (e.g., Sports, Academic).
Date :- Date on which the accomplishment was achieved.
Description :- Detailed description, certificate title, or event context.
Chatter & Tracking :- Built-in chatter support for audit trail, activity scheduling, and administrative notes.
Achievement Analysis¶
Go to (or ).
Multi-Dimensional Pivot Matrix :- Analyze student accomplishments grouped by Student and Achievement Type.
Graph View :- Switch to Bar, Line, or Pie charts to visually compare achievement distributions across categories.
Student Profile - Achievement Tab¶
Go to and open any student profile to view their achievements presented in an interactive timeline resume widget.
Adding Achievements to Student Progression¶
To pull student achievements into their consolidated progression record:
Open the student’s progression record from and navigate to the Achievement tab. Click on the Get Achievement button.
In the Add Achievement wizard dialog, click on
Add a line.
In the selection popup, choose the relevant achievement records and click
Select.
Verify the selected achievements in the wizard and click
Addto attach them to the progression record.
Assignment Tab¶
Faculty can attach completed student assignments to the progression record.
Click on the Get Assignment button to open the assignment selection wizard.
Select the student submissions and click Add.
Attendance Tab¶
Attendance sessions and roll-call records can be pulled directly into the progression record.
Click on the Get Attendance button to open the attendance wizard.
Select the attendance records and click Add.
Discipline Tab¶
Disciplinary incidents, commendations, merit, and demerit points can be linked to track student conduct.
Click on the Get Discipline button to launch the discipline wizard.
Select the discipline records and click Add.
Marksheet Lines Tab¶
Academic examination results and marksheet line details are pulled to track academic grades.
Click on the Get MarkSheet Lines button to launch the exam marksheet wizard.
Select the marksheet lines and click Add.
Transcript Tab & Official PDF Report¶
When the GPA Enterprise module is enabled, a dedicated Transcript tab appears on the Student Progression form.
Click on Get Transcript to generate and download the official student academic transcript in PDF format.
The Transcript report consolidates institution details, student enrollment details, subject-wise exam codes, credit hours, marks, grades, grade points, overall percentage, and computed Grade Point Average (GPA).
Student Portal View¶
Students and parents can access the consolidated progression summary from the self-service portal by navigating to the Progression card on the portal home page.
The modern portal view features:
Summary Stat Cards :- Quick insights for Progression No. (with 1-click clipboard copy), Date, Status badge (Draft, In Progress, Done, Cancel), and Created By faculty/admin.
Progression Details Tabs :- Seamless vertical navigation across all linked modules:
Marksheet Tab :- Displays exam results, total marks, obtained marks, percentage, pass/fail status, and summary count cards.
Discipline Tab :- Displays disciplinary records, course details, date, and status.
Attendance Tab :- Displays session attendance status (Present, Absent, Late), course, batch, and time.
Assignment Tab :- Displays assignment submission status (Draft, Submitted, Rejected) and submission timestamp.
Achievement Tab :- Displays student honors, awarded rank, verifying faculty, and award date.
Activity Tab :- Displays co-curricular activities, supervising faculty, and participation notes.
PDF Progression Report¶
To generate an official consolidated report of the student’s entire progression history:
Open the student progression record from .
Click on the Print icon / Progression Report action.
The system generates a formatted PDF containing student details, attendance metrics, examination marks, assignments, achievements, and disciplinary records.

To analyze progression records across students, batches, and workflow stages:
Go to (or ).
Multi-Dimensional Pivot Matrix :- Analyze record counts grouped by Student, Status (Draft, In Progress, Done, Cancel), Created By, and Date.
Visual Graph Insights :- Switch to Pie, Bar, or Line charts to monitor progress status distributions.
Spreadsheet Export :- Export analytics directly to XLSX format for administrative reporting.
