Extension Requests

The Thesis Extension Request feature allows students to formally request an extension for their thesis submission deadline. The process is managed through a approval workflow involving the thesis supervisor.

Extension Requests Form

Go to Thesis ‣ Thesis Management ‣ Extension Requests to see Extension Requests.

Details of Extension Requests Form

1. Name :- Unique reference for the extension request (auto-generated).

2. Thesis Registration :- Link to the thesis registration record..

3. Student :- Student requesting the extension .

4. Request Date :- Date when the extension is requested (defaults to today).

5. Current Deadline :- Current thesis submission deadline.

6. Requested Deadline :- New deadline requested by the student.

7. Extension Days :- Number of days requested for extension.

8. Reason :- Reason for extension (selectable from predefined reasons).

9. Detailed Reason :- Detailed explanation for the extension request.

10. Supporting Documents :- Supporting documents for the extension request.

Reason Type Configuration

Go to Thesis ‣ Configuration ‣ Extension Reasons. Click on New to create Extension Reason.

Student Creates Extension Requests

Requests Approval Process

Go to Thesis ‣ Thesis Management ‣ Extension Requests to see Extension Requests by students.

Supervisor reviews and approves, moves to HoD review. if rejected, the process ends and the student is notified.

HoD reviews and approves then thesis deadline is updated.
