The OpenEducat Thesis Management module provides a comprehensive solution for managing academic thesis workflows from registration to final evaluation.

Key Components

1. Registration Management :- Student thesis registration and approval.

2. Committee Management :- Supervisor and examiner assignment.

3. Progress Tracking :- Regular progress reports and feedback.

4. Extension Handling :- Deadline extension requests and approvals.

5. Submission Process :- Final thesis submission and review.

6. Evaluation System :- Examiner evaluation and grading.

7. Portal Integration :- Student self-service portal.

Program Configuration

Configure thesis requirements for academic programs. It allows administrators to specify whether a thesis is required, the duration of the thesis, and any guidelines associated with the thesis process for a program

Go to SIS ‣ Configuration ‣ Program Management ‣ Programs.

1. Required Thesis :- Indicates if a thesis is mandatory for the program.

2. Thesis Duration :- Duration of the thesis in months (default: 6).

3. Thesis Guidelines :- Guidelines or instructions for the Thesis.

4. Evaluation Template :- Template for evaluating thesis submissions.

Evaluation Template Configuration

Go to Thesis ‣ Configuration ‣ Evaluation Templates. Click on New to create Evaluation Template.

Details Page for Evaluation Template Configuration

1. Name :- The name of the evaluation template.

2. Total Marks :- The total marks that can be awarded using this template.

3. Parameters :- The list of evaluation parameters (criteria) that make up the template. Each parameter has its own maximum marks.

Now , click on Add a line to create parameter.

1. Name :- The name of the evaluation parameter.

2. Max Marks :- The maximum marks that can be awarded for this parameter.

A thesis evaluation template is only available for selection in a program when its state is in_use
