Submission Evaluation Workflow

Draft

  • Initial state when a submission is generated or being prepared by a student.

Submitted

  • Click Submit to record student completion. The status changes from Draft to Submitted.

Accepted

  • If the assignment meets all requirements, click Accept. The status changes from Submitted to Accepted.

Change Required

  • If revisions are needed, click Change Require. The status changes to Change Req.

  • The student modifies their submission and clicks Change and Resubmit, resetting the status to Draft for re-submission.

Reject

  • If the submission does not meet minimal criteria, click Reject. The status changes to Rejected.

Ignore Attempt

  • Click Ignore Attempt on the submission header to mark an attempt as ignored.

  • The submission moves to the Ignore state. This preserves the attempt record for audit purposes without counting it towards standard attempt evaluations.

  • The Ignore Attempt action is disabled once ignored or after a submission is Accepted.

Clear Attempt

  • From the Submissions list view, click Clear Attempt on a submission row to delete the attempt line completely, allowing the student to submit a fresh attempt.

Note

  • Use Ignore Attempt when keeping historical records of an invalid attempt, and Clear Attempt when removing an attempt entirely.

  • Submissions in non-draft states require Assignment User or Manager permissions to delete.
