Course Management

Course Management helps you to provide the start up data of courses that will be taught in an institute. Course management includes configuration of course and batch.

Configure Course

To configure the course, follow the below steps :-

Go to SIS ‣ Configuration ‣ Course Management ‣ Courses.

Click on New to create a new Course.

Details of Course Form

1. Name :- Name of the course. It will be displayed in whole system.

2. Code :- Code of the course. Unique code for course.

3. Evaluation Type :- Select evalution type of the course from the list.

4. Fees Term :- Select or create a new fees term for the course from the list.

5. Parent Course :- Select or create a new parent course for the course from the list.

6. Maximum Unit Load :- Set Maximum unit load for whole course.

7. Minimum Unit Load :- Set Minimum unit load for whole course.

8. Registration Fees :- It is used to take the registration fees for the course.

9. Product :- Create a product in order to take the registration fees.

10. Subjects :- Select subject(s) those are included under the course.

11. Short Description :- A summary of the course. It is used to display a concise overview of the course in listings, previews, and summary views across the system.

12. Full description :- A detailed explanation of the course. It provides complete information including course objectives, structure, and content, and is displayed on the course detail page.

13. Department :- Select or create a new department for th e course.

14. Program :- Select or create a new program.

15. Course Change Fees :- It is used to take the fess when student change the course.

16. Area :- Area of the course.

17. Subject Selection :- Select different type of subjects for selection like: 1. Regular 2. Credit Based 3. Subject Based

Configure Batch

Configuration of batch helps you to provide the start up data of batch that will be running in an institute. To configure the batch, follow the below steps :-

Go to SIS ‣ Configuration ‣ Course Management ‣ Batches.

Click on New to create a new batch.

Details of Batch Form

1. Name :- Name of the batch. It will be displayed in whole system.

2. Code :- Code of the batch. Unique code for batch. The size of the code should not be more than 8 characters in length.

3. Start Date :- Provide start date of the batch here.

4. End Date :- Provide end date of the batch here.

5. Course :- One course can be taught in more than one batches. For example MCA-BD-semester-1 is being taught in two batches, morning batch and noon batch. Select the course from the list here for which the batch is created.

Configure Department

Configuration of Department helps you to provide the start up data of department that will be running in an Collegen or institute. To configure the department, follow the below steps :-

Go to SIS ‣ Configuration ‣ Course Management ‣ Department.

Click on New to create a new program.

Details of department Form

1. Name :- Name of department. It will be displayes in whole system.

2. Code :- code for department. It must be unique.

3. Parent Department :- Select or create a new parent department for the department from the list.

Configure Area

The Configuration Area helps define the area or domain to which a course belongs. This categorization is useful for organizing courses and provides clarity for all users across the system. To configure the area, follow the steps below:-

Go to SIS ‣ Configuration ‣ General Management ‣ Area. Click on New to create a new Area.

Details of Area form

1. Name :- Name of Area

2. Code :- Code of the area, it must be unique.
